We believe that if you have the means to help someone in need, you have the responsibility to as well.

In 2017, our team got together with the wonderful folks over at Meds & Food for Kids (MFK) to help further their mission. Meds & Food for Kids is dedicated to saving the lives of Haiti’s malnourished children and other nutritionally vulnerable people. They accomplish this mission by developing, producing and distributing highly nutritious foods, including the gold-standard Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF). They make their food products in Haiti, using Haitian workers and, whenever possible, Haitian raw materials.

The Harlan Company was able to help MFK to install four new production rooms. These rooms now house new therapeutic food manufacturing machinery. Haiti is a country without the usual construction machinery available in the US. Harlan worked side-by-side with MFK to complete pre-construction detail planning to ensure success on the ground in Haiti.
